The Institute has taken up the research study on tribal language of Hakki-Pikki community (GOI). The compilation work of the dictionary on Hakki-Pikki language was released by Sri. H. Anjaneya, Honble Minister for Social Welfare and Backward Classes on 26th December 2014 at Davangere.

Research study on tribal language of DungreGarasia(GOI). The compilation work of the dictionary on "DungreGarasia" language was released by Shri. SathishJarkiholly, Honble Minister for small scale industries, Govt. of Karnataka. The Institute has taken up a collaborative study with Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysuru on tribal languages of Malaikudia, Hasalaru, Siddi, Iruliga, Tokrekoli and Marati communities(GOI).
